Gabby & Teddy

December 12th, 2020 · Newburyport, MA

Gabriela Quarantiello & Theodore Clements married at an intimate ceremony with immediate family on December 12th, 2020.

Due to Covid-19, we significantly downsized our ceremony plans. We hope to celebrate with all of our family and friends at a reception in either late 2021 or 2022. Our wedding mass was recorded and can be viewed here.

How We Met

It all began on a video call - an interview to be precise. Teddy wanted a job and Gabby was part of the interview team. She asked some tough questions, but he was hired. Friends at first, they worked together for a year and occasionally ran into each other at The Burren, where Teddy got a bulk discount on beers and Gabby played the tambourine on stage with the band.

Our First Date

After Teddy relocated to Denver in 2017, they reconnected. Teddy and his friends started to tag along skiing with Gabby and her cousins, finding a mutual love for the sport and the mountains. After a few months discovering similar interests in music, podcasts, and skiing Teddy finally drummed up the courage in May 2017 to ask Gabby out to a wine bar in Denver for their first date.

The Proposal

Teddy knew how he wanted to propose, but wanted it to be especially meaningful. In December of 2019, he asked his maternal Grandma if he could use her mother’s engagement ring. She said yes, but told Teddy to propose quick so she wouldn’t have to keep the secret for too long. With his Great Grandmother’s ring in his jacket pocket and fresh powder beneath their skis, Teddy proposed just off a ski trail on a mountain in Chamonix, France in February of 2020.
